THE JACKET

Coltesse presents its interpretation of the workwear jacket. Developed and manufactured in Paris, the 111 is a cotton organic canvas jacket, woven in the Vosges (France) and made of garment dyed.
It is thick and light, perfect for the arrival of the warm weather.

THE COLTESSE VISION OF THE WORKWEAR JACKET.

It has 6 pockets: two front pockets, two side patch pockets and two large inside pockets to reinforce the practicality of a workwear garment.

WHY WORKWEAR ?

The workwear trend was born in the 1940s, after the Second World War. Workwear enthusiasts reappropriated workwear as an integral part of their wardrobe, without forgetting its origin.

Our set puts functionality at the heart of workwear. It has all the hallmarks of the workwear set, with large patch pockets, a button closure for the jacket and a key ring for the pants.
It's thick but light, so it can be worn in mid-season, but also in summer.

THE FABRIC

Canvas

Canvas fabric is at the origin of workwear, long before denim. It was also used for the manufacture of boat sails for its resistance. It is woven with a canvas weave: it is the simplest and oldest weave. It is also the strongest thanks to a maximum of interweaving of the warp and weft threads.

We have selected an organic cotton canvas woven in the Vosges region of France, with a density of 240gr/m2, ideal for summer and mid-season. It has a natural look, a linen feel, but without the disadvantages of this one which wrinkles easily.

Garment dyed

Garment dyed is the technique that consists in using a fabric said to be ready to dye (white cotton fabrics, not dyed) in order to make the garment and then have them machine dyed.

This process allows us to select our own colors and gives slight ripples to the seams. We have chosen to apply a light wash after dyeing to bring out this particularity of the piece dye.
